Ruralco Celebrates 25 years of Instore Days on 4th & 5th July 2019
This is a very special year for Ruralco. It is 25 years since the very first Instore Days were established, and everyone has a chance to be part of the celebration. Instore Days are an annual event hosted by Ruralco with fantastic savings and the latest innovations on all things agriculture. This year Ruralco together with their Instore Days Partners are giving away over $250,000 worth of prizes to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Instore Days.
“Who could have imagined this event, which started so small, would grow and cement itself as one of the major players in annual farming events? Every year we see demand for supplier and retail sites exceeded, and this year is no exception, which means our farming community will get to once again meet and connect with the best of the best from within our rural supplies network,” said Ruralco Group CEO, Robert Sharkie.
Since its inception, Instore Days has grown into a two day event, celebrated at the co-operative’s three stores (Ashburton, Methven and Rakaia), nationally online, and through its ever expanding network of suppliers. This year’s Instore Days will take place on 4 and 5 July, and as always will showcase what’s new and innovative in the agricultural sector, as well as delivering great specials and deals for co-operative members. It is also an opportunity for rural based farmers to come to town and to meet and mingle with each other.
“This year we are giving our members the chance to win from a $250,000 prize pool draw. We have been humbled by the amazing support shown by our Instore Days partners which has created the opportunity for a truly impressive array of prizes including a Mustang car, Fi-Glass Dominator boat, Harley Davidson motorcycle and so much more,” said Robert.
Here’s what some of the major Instore Days partners have to say about being part of this special occasion:
Meridian
Ruralco and Meridian have an amazing partnership and way of connecting with customers, and Instore Days is the perfect opportunity for us to get in front of our customers and talk to them face-to-face. We have had more than 10 year’s involvement with Instore Days and we are looking forward to this year’s 25th anniversary event where we will once again have the opportunity to meet with locals and show our loyalty to Ruralco and this important event.
Glenn McWhinnie – Agribusiness Key Account Manager
Datamars
Datamars values its relationship with Instore Days because we see it as a great opportunity to promote ourselves through Ruralco to farmers and the farming community. It’s a two way thing for us and we saw being part of the 25th anniversary celebrations as a great opportunity. We have been involved in every Instore Days so far and we are looking forward to many more.
Brian McFelin – Area Sales Manager
Nufarm
We have been a part of Instore Days for many years – in fact a large number of the 25 years it has been going. It’s always great to engage with farmers and help find ways to improve their productivity and results. Instore Days creates a great chance to talk to everyone as well as showcasing our products such as Kaiso, ProGibb, and Stabilan to name but a few. We are very pleased to be helping Ruralco celebrate 25 years of Instore Days and being part of The Big Draw.
Jeff Hurst – Territory Manager Mid/North Canterbury
Allied Petroleum
Much like Ruralco’s great achievement, last year Allied Petroleum celebrated 25 years in business. We had modest beginnings; running four trucks out of a small yard in Christchurch, delivering bulk fuel to Canterbury farms. Ruralco has been with us almost from day one, so their members are a real demonstration of how important the primary sector has been to our success and growth. So naturally we were only too happy to return the favour by becoming a 25th Anniversary Instore Days Partner. Allied Petroleum looks forward to keeping Ruralco, and its members, moving on the farm for years to come!
Brett Haldane – Marketing Manager Petroleum Division
